This article is about the track. For the EP, go to Kosmonaut.
Kosmonaut [03:06] is the title track of the free Ugress EP Kosmonaut. It gained widespread popularity and acclaim almost instantly within fans, although doing relatively badly in radio and video play over the summer.
Kosmonaut is available for free download as 320kbps and 160kbps qualities and two 30-second clips fit for use as a ringtone. Remix pack including all samples and stuff has been also made available as Ableton Live 6, Acid 5, Garageband 3 and plain WAV formats.
A minisite has been opened for the track and the music video.
Kosmonaut was to be included on the long-anticipated Ugress album Unicorn, but was cut the last minute due to not working at all as a warm up. Another fact to influence this decision was that Kosmonaut was cut in favor of another track (unstated which) previously unreleased, while Kosmonaut already had a video and a minisite.[1]
Music video[]
Kosmonaut music video (along with the Kosmonaut Minisite) made by Yesbox Productions was released May 10th 2007. It was directed by Svein Sund, and featured breakdancing by Absence.
Trivia[]
- The video consists entirely of chroma key shots, where actors are before a blue or a green background.
- The graffiti shown in the video various times was painted on a real wall by Strøk and Jørgen Sellevold.
